Well,
after thinking of safety I am steering away from the lincoln rims. I noe would like to know if these will fit from an element.
Will they hold up to the weight?

| I think it will. I remember there was Elem owner want to buy Pilot rims. You are just doing another way around. |

The code on the element rims say 16x6 1/2 JJ 45. I am wondering if the pilot is to heavy, or if it will be safe to use these rims. I did buy the Pilot because of safety and reliability for my family (plus it looks cool!). Can I just transfer my current stock tires to the Element rims.
Hopefully I can! These look cooler than the stock steel rims. |

I would bet that these would work out fine. I believe that there is a guy on this list who is running lightweight 300 or 350 zx rims on his truck. That car is way lighter than an element. When I researched aftermarket rims, I found that they did not change any between what they offered for passenger cars vs. the cr-v/pilots.
I agree about the stock steelies, I was lucky and found a set of MDX wheels with tires for a fairly good price. |

That's me. Although these rims are light weight, yet they are strong.
300zx can be 3800lb for some config and runs with more hp and torque than pilot.
And they are 7". IMO 6" is bit narrow for 235 tire |

Hey Tim,
That's great that you got 300zx rims to work. Was the center hub correct for the pilot or did you have to have them bored out? I would bet that it woudl be quite easy to find a set of used 300zx wheels out there. |

no I didn't match the center. (It's recommanded but not necessary if you can keep right torque on bolts. ) But glad Nissan is bigger than Honda and I have no problem fitting.
300zx wheels are great and I had them.... Z got upgrade.
Even though you don't have freebe rims but I guess you can buy them used at ebay for like $200 a set. Light weight than Pilot factory rim and runs great on my pilot. |

You have any pictures of your ride with the 300z rims on it? Also, how do you like the Manik side steps? Any pictures of those also? I'm looking to add some side steps, but haven't done any research yet, so I don't really know what's out there. |

Initially I thought the same, but checking TireRack, the recommended wheel widths for Michelin Cross Terrains is 6-8". I think the reason why a narrow wheel is OK is because the sidewalls are so tall.
Having said that, if I were buying new wheels, I'd try to find 7" wide wheels :p |
