Dentwizard and other PDR companies work wonders....
IMO the quality of the job is directly reflective of the level of training and amount of direct experience the PDR technician has. I am sure that with a company like Dentwizard (one of the largest) you can't go wrong. One of the issues I have with PDR is that they quite often have to drill a hole into the door or panel that they are working on. Then the put some sealant / lube and insert a plug to cover the hole. <--- that last sentence could sound bad if it's taken out of context....
Take some before and after pics and let us know how it goes. |

I've had this done on several cars (luckily not the new Pilot yet!) and I've watched them do it. They only have to drill a hole if the back side of the panel is not accessible due to structural bracing, etc. The experience of the technician plays a big part. In most situations, an experienced dent technician can avoid drilling a hole. They can often get to the back side of the dent by removing panels, wheel well covers, etc., depending on the location. They also have tools with all sorts of bends in them to get into very tight spots. If they are forced to drill, it is almost always in a door jam or some other inconspicuous area. They don't actually drill into the sheet metal where the dent is located.

| they don't drill a hole, if they do it is worse than what you have now, just a dent. I have tried it in two of my cars and with an experienced hand, it will work wonders. make sure the guy doing the job is not a newbie |

To clarify your post, they don't drill a hole in the actual dent. But on a few occasions they have to drill a hole in a nearby spot (such as a door jam) so they can get their "magic wand" to the back side of the dent.

I've only dealt with one Dent Wizard in Rockville, MD, but can't say enough about the great job they've done for me.
As I've mentioned here several times before, my brand new (purchased earlier that week) '98 Civic EX got caught in the worst hailstorm I've ever experienced. Yes, hailstones DO get the size of golfballs!!! I was brokenhearted--numerous medium-to-large pockmarks ALL OVER the car.
I felt even worse after visiting a couple of conventional car body repair shops. Lots of talk about puttying this, repainting that, totally replacing at least the hood, etc. Finally, an acquaintance asked if I'd considered giving Dent Wizard a try....I'd never even heard of this kind of shop and at first thought it would be some kind of shyster operation. But, then again, I figured "What have I got to lose?"
Anyway, I left the car with Dent Wizard for 3 days and returned to pick it up. Especially being the perfectionist I am, I was fully prepared to be disappointed with the results. BUT LO and BEHOLD, even my eagle eyes couldn't spot a single imperfection anywhere!!!! I almost was ready to kiss the shop manager's feet! For those who said I might see some hairline cracks in the paint or wrinkles with time.....well, it's been over 6 years now and the paint still looks fine. |

I'm the sales manager of that paint shop and we actually painted your car-j/k:D but yeah they do a good job and those door dings that let you worry when you park in the mall or other public places is gone because of this kind of alternative repair:4: |
