| Just got the new (2005) Honda Pilot brochure. The pictures showing "Gray" interior is darker than "Fern". I remember from 2004 brochure they were opposites. Can anyone confirm this? BTW, just test drove 2005 Pilot tonight... I think we are ready for it. It was a Steel Blue Metallic. I LOVE the color (so does my wife)! That's the color we are going to get... I think. We need to check it out during day time w/ natural sun light. :2: |

We have a 2003 Sagebrush Pearl Coat / Fern EX-L and our friends have a 2004 Midinight Blue Pearl Coat / Grey EX-L. Side by side the Fern is a lot lighter when it comes to carpets (advantage Grey), and the dash / door plastics and leather are noticeably lighter in the Fern. The Fern can take on a light green tinge in certain lighting, but overall we enjoy it.
I am not sure that any variations we made for the 2005 color pallete.
Either color would probably be easier to maintain that saddle, given the light color of the carpets. Good Luck!
I am still trying to find a reason to go the dealer prior to next service interval to check out Steel Blue. |

| The gray is definitely a few shades darker than the fern. We've got our '05 SBP exterior with a fern interior and compared it to one with a gray interior and the fern is much lighter, but we like it! |

| we have a 2005 silver with the gray interior and it is very dark, but with 3 kids, we need a dark, stain hiding color. By the way, I have a leather interior, not sure the color of the cloth is as dark |

| We had an '03 White Pilot with the Fern interior. We traded it recently for an '05 Silver/Gray. The Gray is definately darker, but as others have said, we love it as it hides the stains better! |

The 2004 brochure had the Gray and Fern colors reversed. The 05 has it correct - the Gray is darker than the Fern. I love the Gray interior in my Pilot. It's a great color.

| I definitely prefer darker interior, especially w/ my almost 1 year old son onboard. Steel Blue Metallic... here I come! Can't wait to get rid of my Audi A4 Avant... :D |

I also think that the Grey interior color hides more dirt than the fern.
I have never been too fond of light color interiors. After a few years they all seem to look very worn....
