| I remember Samuel2003 had a specially made wheel spacer for his 18" wheels at a local machine shop here in Gardena, CA. |

I just got them, Pilot looks awesome now even with the stock wheels.
The only problem is I'm getting vibration at 65-70Mph. I don't know if wheel alignment could fix that? Also if it is safe for the vehicle to use them?
I can post some pictures if someone is interested...
BTW:This forum is great. It was the main reason I bought Pilot. |

| How do you like the new spacers on your Pilot? Are you planning to change the oem wheels? Kindly post some pictures of your new wheel spacers when you have a chance. |

The problem is probably the spacers. I haven't taken the wheels off to look, but I'm guessing the wheels are hubcentric, which means the wheel is centered on the hub by the little lip on the hub. So not only does the bolt pattern measurements matter, but also the center bore diameter.
Aftermarket wheels include a little ring adapter, so the same wheel can be used on different vehicles. They make the center bore very large, then you insert the spacer appropriate for your vehicle to fill in the space.
The vibration is caused by the spacer not being exactly centered. So a wheel alignment (at least the one you're thinking of) won't work. You might be able to go to a machine shop and have them make some centering rings for you, but I don't know how they would get the center bore to match the wheels (unless they machine the wheels as well). Of course the total bill might be more than if you bought the appropriate spacers from the start.
Tip: Use plenty of anti-seize...all this metal might get stuck and you won't be able to pry it off, especially if it sits flush to the brake rotor. Don't ask how I know. :p |

| I decided to return them any way. I'm concerned it may damage the suspension. You can feel the difference when you driving. At low speed feels better but on the highway its worst. |

It's probably for the best. Nothing wrong with spacers, but you should pay a little more and get one specifically made for your vehicle. |
