hey all. i am about to buy some aftermarket wheels for the pilot and i know that the stock wheels are 16 inch with a 35mm off set. the question is i have seem the wheels that i want but the are 20 inch with a 20 mm off set. do that mean they will stick out from the body or will they sit to far in and rub. or what is the highest and lowest off set can the pilot handle. hope you guys can help me:confused:

http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/tech/offset.htm

The stock wheels are 6.5" wide with 45mm offset.

16" or 20" diameter doesn't mean that much except when you are calculating (adding the tire values) circumference and comparing that to stock circumference (finding out if your speedo will be off or if you will have clearance issues in your wheel wells).

Look at the tirerack link. Find out how wide your new wheels and tires are (and the offset). Do a little math and then compare those figures with the stock figures. Also, go under the car and see where your crucial clearance points are/will be.

All things being equal, a larger (positive) offset means the inner edges of the wheel/tire will "push" further INTO your wheel well, closer to the centerline of your car.

I am also planning to buy 20"rims, in a 8.5" width with a +42 offset. I would recommend staying close to +40, although I've been told that anything from a +35 to a +45 would work. I think it's more like +38 to +42 but I could be wrong.

No, I just saw the 2005 Accord 5Lug rims and I like them better.
