I recently purchased a 2005 Pilot EX and only have approximately 800 miles. I've been experiencing a hesitation when I try to accelerate while driving between 10 - 20 mph (most noticeable when making turns or slowing down for a stoplight and then trying to accelerate again without coming to a full stop). There seems to be about a 1 second delay before the car noticeably jumps into gear.
I took it back to the dealership, where I was told nothing was wrong and that is just how the Pilot drives. It still doesn't seem right to me. Unfortunately, I don't know a whole lot about cars and I'm at the mercy of the dealership.
Any information or advice on this problem would be greatly appreciated. |

| Same here with our '05. I believe that has something to do with the TPMS or the drive-by-wire system. (Or are they one in the same.... I dunno, I'm stoopid!) :bootyshak |

| my guess is a combination of drive-by-wire lag and transmission downshift time. |

| I have the same issue with my '05 Pilot EX. However, I know this is an issue with most Pilots coz my Brother-in-law has an 04 Pilot and it has exactly the same issue - I guess we have to live with it. |

We even have this on a CRV, but with an addition of a loud "clunk" when it happens. It occurs at the times you described. It bothers me, but we have 125,000 trouble-free miles on it.
Maybe it's a characteristic of all Honda vehicles? |
