Hi all.
I am so glad I found this forum!
I have an 05 with tons of slosh noise from the gas tank. So, people who say it was fixed on the 05s...well, not on mine anyway. But this doesn't bother me as much as the front end clunking.
It started at about 1K miles, but has become progressively worse over the past 1K miles. It sounds like the springs setting, and is only noticable at low speeds when turning. Reverse or driving forward doesn't matter, it's still there. At first I thought the wheels were loose, but that wasn't it.
Anyway, I'm taking it in to the dealer in a few minutes and I'll keep you all updated on what they say and do. Hopefully I have a good honest dealer (yeah right!) that will make an effort to find out what's wrong and keep me happy. |

I have seen a couple bad shocks (struts) on Oddettys & Pilots. More often I'm seeing gravel inside the lower spring perch. Spring compresses and will thump, knock, clunk, or crunch against the gravel. Sometimes it sounds just like a bad strut.
Maybe you'll get lucky and that's all it is. Let us know. Good luck w/dealer. |

| my shocks, front and back were sticky for about the first 6 months but are nice and quiet now. As for my gas tank, I can just barely make out that I have gas in it when I am parking in the garage but never notice it in any other environment, I have pretty sensitive hearing so maybe there is something very wrong with yours, i.e a baffle or something is banging around in there ? |
