Can someone confirm for me? HVAC related Q - Click HERE for Original Thread

With the whole HVAC system shut off and the car running, if you just press the mode button, is anything supposed to happen (air-wise)? Because with my system completely shut off, if I press the mode button and cycle through the ventilation options, the only thing that happens is the graphic of the sitting man changing with the arrows pointed at the head, feet, etc.

Is this normal? I thought if one just pressed the mode button, the air should come on with it or am I mistaken? If anyone can confirm this as normal or not, I'd appreciate it! :bangh:

My 03 Pilot operates exactly the same way.
Press auto to get air to circulate then regulate with mode button.

I think the system still work if you don't press the fresh air button (don't know what that's called, but that is the button to let the fresh air in or don't let the air in).

I tried it before, but will try one more to see how it works.
