I picked up my 2006 EXL-Navi last night, and the salesman kept talking about blutooth integration with the next release of the Navi DVD. I assume this is purely sales talk and have serious doubts about it being true.
Has anyone else heard anything about this? |

| I'd say it's pure sales BS. The MDX NAVI already has bluetooth, and there's less and less separating a top end Pilot and the MDX, other than additional cash outlay. |

Bluetooth requires hardware upgrade not software upgrade.
I'd say its possible only AFTER the replacement MDX is released, and enough price/product differential is created between the Pilot and MDX |

...unless the Pilot Navi system is the same as in the MDX but the bluetooth function not enabled. Hypothetically i guess this could be possible, but somewhat unlikely. Has anyone tried using the MDX dvd in the Pilot or are they the same disc? |

And for the hands-free link, I'd presume that in addition to the bluetooth hardware, you'd need phone control buttons on the steering wheel, and they can't be easily retro-fitted even if a sofware upgrade turned on any pre-existing bluetooth hardware functionality. |
