Is this an update to the City Navigator used in the 2610 or is this something different?
I think I'm a couple years out of date but don't have a DVD playing in my computer for the City Navigator V 7.0 they are selling. I was thinking on calling to see if its available on CD's |

MapSource is the free software that drives all Garmin maps such as City Navigator. City Navigator is available on CD from the Garmin web site for $75. (CD is free, but you have to pay the money to unlock it for your GPSR).
One of the neatest things now in MapSource is a link to Google Earth that allows you find a precise location in MapSource, and then with a mouse click, view pictorially that same location in Google Earth.

I use this software and have GoogleEarth installed, I think I am missing something though, does it require the subscription based Google product to work? I am not seeing the connection interface to the Google product.
Thanks |

You just need to designate a waypoint or a route on your MapSource screen, then under the MapSource View menu, the "View in Google Earth" item will be accessible.
