New Pioneer AVIC-N2s *ONLY $875* - Click HERE for Original Thread

I just came across an awesome deal that some of you might be interested in. Here's how it works. First, if you go to this website you will see that they sell Pioneer AVIC-N2s new for only $1174. Pioneer currently has a promotion going on where you get a $300 mail-in rebate if you purchase an N2 or D1 between Oct 1, 2005 and Dec 31, 2005 but you must purchase it from an authorized dealer. The dealer for the N2 that you just clicked on is not an authorized dealer so that wouldn't work out too well. Summit Racing on the other hand, IS an authorized dealer and they price-match. All you do is call up Summit Racing, let them know that you would like them to price-match another website, they will confirm the other website's price and availability and eventually will match their price. Then you can fill out this rebate form and send it in since you purchased it from an authorized dealer and at the end, you purchased a brand new AVIC-N2 for only $875 with free shipping. Summit does charge a handling fee but it's only $8.
Here's a picture of my order:

I don't know if you caught this, but if you read the rebate, it states that Pioneer doesn't allow dealers to sell this product on the Internet except Cruthfield, Circuit City, or Best Buy. I don't know if they will honor the rebate. Still a good price without the rebate though. Good luck though.

So, PM through CC or BB?

When you receive your invoice from Summit it doesn't say anything about it being a web order. As far as Pioneer is concerned the N2 was purchased through Summit's actual store or mail-ordered through their catalog. Pioneer has honored the warranty on the N1 that I purchased online through Summit even though they are not authorized to sell online. Either way, in order for you to price-match the cheaper competitor, you need to call Summit and give them a reference to the website and then you will place your order with them over the phone so in reality you're not even buying it over the internet. You are just using the internet as a reference for the price-match and to check the status of your phone order. I just called up Pioneer and asked them to send me updated Navi discs and they had me fax them my invoice from an authorized dealer. They received my invoice and told me that my new discs would be mailed sometime this week so there shouldn't be a problem with the rebate. The only thing they might be concerned about is that when the rebate department recieves the required items to process your rebate, they will notice that you only paid $1174 when they are expecting you to pay somewhere between $1800-$2000. If it goes through, good. If it gets rejected, you still purchased a new N2 from an authorized dealer for less than you can buy a refurb one on eBay without the Pioneer warranty.

You don't price-match through Circuit City nor Best Buy. You go to www.parkaveelectronics.com, search for Pioneer AVIC-N2 and give that link to Summit Racing. They will call up the other dealer and make sure the price is accurate and beat their price by $1 plus you get free shipping. There is a link on my original post directed to the cheaper dealer.
