I'm looking for recommendations on the physical radio---I want XM, I have a 3 year lease on my '05 EX-L--so I don't want it permanently attached. Any recommendations?
Also, when trying to look at threads older than 2 days, I attempt to change that to say, 10 days or 30 days, but each time it comes back still at the default of 2 days. Any suggestions?
Thanks, and thanks!

With regard to XM, it all depends on how you mount it, and the options for playing it through the head unit. The quickest, least expensive, least permanent options are the Roady2 or Roady XT. Other options are available, but they get more expensive and more permanent.
In my RX 330 I have a Roady 2 and use a cassette adapter, and it works just fine. Below is a picture of my Roady in the Pilot, velcro'ed in position and hardwired to the head unit with a Blitzsafe adapter. You could just as easily use the wireless FM modulator or cassette adapter, with a drop-off in sound quality of course.
Here's a thread showing all the transformations my Pilot went through.
And here's a Gallery of satellite radio installs, as food for thought. |

I attached my radio with three "L" brackets attached under the coin tray. I drilled through the coun tray to make the attachment secure. When I sell the vehicle I will simple replace the coin tray.
At first I used the cassett player for my connection but the quality was not good. I upgraded to the RC cables which are plugged into the CD control plug on the back of the radio. I have seen several posts which explains the connect much better than I could. |
