how much did it cost? where did you get the adapter to fit the radio in the dash? Is the subwoofer still connected?

| Cost about 1100 US dollars including all the parts. Mine is an LX model, so it doesn't have a subwoofer. But, AVIC-D1 comes with a pre-out for a subwoofer. Did not need a dash adaptor. Just grinded little stubs that stick out on the factory bracket and grinded the sides of the plastic frame for AVIC-D1 to make it fit. |

| Just courious but what was your thinking in buying an aftermarket Navi and having it installed versus the EXL-NAVI? Was it the fact that it played MP3's? |

| Mine is an LX model. Navi is not available as an option out of the factory on LX. I did not want to spend extra money on EX-L for the features i did not need. But, I always wanted a navigation system, so this was the most cost effective route. |

Great job with the install, i have the same unit in my 2003. I also added the Xm with NavTraffic. It is the best.
You did a great job with the bracket around the deck, this was my issue with the 2003 and i just made one that will pass for the moment.
I will take some photos soon and upload them to the site. Did you hack the unit so you can change the settings while you drive? It was easy to do and my wife can make the changes needed while we drive.
I also added the backup camera and a DVD is being installed soon (may have to wait till after the winter).
