I have 06 Pilot EXL with Nav. It does have AUX button. Does anybody know if there is a RCA input on the back on this unit.
Thanks |

| How strange. What does the owners manual say about the AUX button? |

I doubt it will have RCA in the back. That's also why they won't sell Pilot with Navi+DVD player together.
But I will find the answer this weekend since I got a installing DVD player for me this weekend. |

I wonder if a place like Crutchfield would make an auxilliary input adapter to fit the stock Pilot h/u, like they make for any aftermarket h/u with a cd changer port.
(As an example, this is the one they make for the Kenwood h/u I bought from them.) |

To summarize what I've learned so far...
No, there are not RCA jacks. The 2006 Pilot has a different head unit, in both the EX and EX-L Nav. It is a brand new configuration, and at this time, no one has put out an aux input adapter.
Honda is releasing a MusicLink adapter which will interface with an iPod directly, but I don't see stanard RCA inputs on it.

My technician is ordering me a soundgate unit that he said although it doesn't say in their website (too new), it will fit in my '06 Pilot with Navi.
He is getting me an RCA input from the overhead DVD and the sound from the head unit of stock stereo. |

Stay away from Soundgate. Search this forum and find out why. |

my technician ordered it already. He told me it will be SNHOND3 which is maybe an newer one than the one that has problem? I will show my tech tomorrow with the thread that states the problem.
Thanks for reminding me. |

Funny enough though, can't you get the Navi and DVD in the states? |

no, u can not get DVD RES + NAVI in state either. But at least u have XM radio which Canadian doesn't have.
Just got the installation finished. DVD looks awesome.
Soundgate SNHOND3 actually works good in my EX-L + Navi without problems like left/right channel not balanced.
But I can't use it yet. I need help from someone who knows more about Navi system for our pilot.
If I unplug the harness (with 3 wires) in the head unit and replace it with soundgate SNHOND3. The Navi will lose all the input like touch screen and all the buttons. Very strange. That 3 wires goes into headunit's Aux is actually taken by Navi for touch screen and input?
I wonder if I can combine those 3 wires back to Navi into the soundgate unit which has those 3 wires as well. Will it cause any problem at all, anyone? I will ask ppl from soundgate on Monday to see if I can get any help from them. |

| Did Soundgate SNHOND3 work with navigation. It is said that is would not work if there is factory installed XM. Please update |

not sure about XM, but I think not. Canadian EX-L with Navi doesn't have XM. So as long as I can get the y adapter, it will work for sure.
Still waiting for my Y adaptor. should be here soon. :) |
