| I did a search but couldn't find this subject. Does anyone know where the turn signal flasher is located? I would like to get a faster flashing one so that my Pilot is more noticeable since they don't have amber turn signals. Has anyone done this mod and where can you get these units. |

I haven't checked to confirm, but I'd bet that the relay is up in the fuse box on the left/firewall side of the engine compartment.
Sorry, can't help you on sourcing another relay with a higher flash rate.
BTW, most states regulate acceptable flashing rates, so you could be technically in violation of equipment standards if you make a change and go significantly faster It is unlikely a cop would pull you over for this alone, but I prefer not to give them any excuses.

I wouldn't mind having the turn signal mirrors but I've got a 2006 model which has the side turn signals already so that's why I'm looking into the faster flasher. I don't want it to be a crazy flasher like some of the younger generation does to their cars just something a little faster.

You miss the point, the turn signal mirrors are for vehicles behind you and your 06 have what is called side markers |

Yeah I guess you're kind of right. You see I have this problem of people getting right on my tail when I'm turning. I turn on my signal way in advance but it doesn't seem to help. Even vehicles that have turn signals in their mirrors have this problem.
I'm not concerned about more lights just lights that grab attention more. Like for instance if you see hazard lights flashing on a car from a distance it doesn't seem to grab your attention like a strobe light on an emergency vehicle. So thats why I want to get something to flash the lights faster to act more like a strobing effect without actually installing strobe lights themselves which are illegal for turn signals. I've even thought of LED bulbs to replace the standard ones but don't know if this will show up very good. Anyone with any suggestions for me?
Thanks in advance.:D |

For me, this would seem to be a waste of time and money. My observations after many years of driving in this and the adjoining states are:
1. People don't know what turn signals are (or if they do, they don't use them).
2. Drivers will be on your tail in any circumstance.

| The turn signal relay is on the back side of the driver's side fuse box in the kick panel area. From the front, it's behind the upper-right corner. To access it, you'll have to remove a 10mm nut and then the whole fuse box will slide out. You may have to disconnect some harnesses to turn the fuse box around. Be careful....if you have to disconnect any of the SRS harnesses (clearly marked with yellow), disconnect the negative terminal of your battery first and then wait 3 minutes. |
