I am new in this forum. I used to have a Pilot and have recently purchased an MDX. They are both great cars! Just wanted to share with you guys.....................
I just finished Installing the HID kit I had recently purchased. It was an easy install which only took 45 minutes. The ballast has a built in starter unlike other old kits which come separately. I am really glad that I got 6000k instead of 8000k. They are really bright! No regrets. I think that this will be my only mod for now. FYI, their website is www.visionbulbs.com
I have purchased Yellow Ions SPP Bulbs for my fogs (Supreme Power Parts) and will post pictures soon.

| Good stuff! Looks like the beams still have a pretty defined line, at least in your MDX... Hopefully it's similar in my '06 Pilot. |

Thanks. If you're interested in purchasing a kit for only $250, there is a group buy that is almost ending in the MDX forum. At that price and a three year warranty on the bulbs and ballasts, you can't go wrong. |

The Web site you listed does not have much information.
Any chance you can post a scan of the install instructions?
Also, what is the color temp. of the Acura OEM HID lights on the TL, RL, etc?

Hopefully the '06 Pilot's projector housings are similar to your MDX, as I'd be happy with the beam definition.
As far as the OEM bulb's color temps, I have no idea... From looks alone I'd say that it's closer to 6000K. My dad has an '04 TL and the new headlights are definately more white/blue than the generation before. Pretty similar to my mom's GS as well, but I have no clue what Lexus uses either. Pretty positive that they aren't 8000K+. Just not that blue/purple enough and there's definately more light output. If I get bored I'll go through their manuals sometime, but I doubt it has anything... |
