Has anyone popped a movie into the Nav DVD rom drive to see what happens?
I'm curious, I own a 06 EX-L with nav

I'm not certain, but seem to recall that nothing would happen, from similar posts in other threads. Your NAV unit is a specialized computer, and the boot rom is likely programmed to do a read check on the disk early on, and throw an error if it doesn't get the results it's expecting; a regular DVD wouldn't give it the info it needs, so my guess is it'd throw an error.

well, if u have a 06 Navi, why didn't u try it? ;)

I am sure it won't do anything. I tried PCMCIA with CF memory card in the PC card slot. It recognizes it and even reads MP3 files from the memory, but the firmware/software doesn't know how to play it. It's silly since new CIVIC w/ Navi can do flash memory MP3 playback but out much more expensive Pilot won't.
