Ok, this should be simple but I just can't figure out how to replace the rear wiper blade on our 05 Pilot.
I have the Honda replacement insert (the rubber blade) but how do you get the old one out? I just don't see a way without bending the metal inserts of the blade too much.
Any help would be great.
Thanks! D |

| Yes, there is no easy way. :( |

| I find a little powdered graphite into the rubber channels makes it a whole lot easier. |

I normally get it done during regular maintance, I pay the Hondda insert blade, and ask politely the mech to do it for free.
They did that for free so far :) |

| The best lubricant to get a rubber piece into some other component is mild liquid soap, think hand soap. It also helps to warm the component up, say in warm water. |

I guess there is no 'easy' way that I was missing; you just have to strong arm the old on out and the new one it.

It doesn't take much force. Maybe the '05 is different. You just have to get the outside tip of the old insert over the plastic lip. |

Getting the tip over the lip without busting the lip, tip, or a nail is the issue. I found that it helped to take a nip before trying to get the tip over the lip.:7: |

Here I thought you kept trading cars because you couldn't change the wipers:p |
