| I have a 2004 Honda Pilot. I have taken it into the dealership four times for mice in the engine and blower. The damage and cleaning has cost be close to $1000.00. Now, the mice have gotten into my cabin. I have read on other websites that this has been a problem with Honda Pilot. Help! |

| Some have had similar problems like you. I guess it's time to get a cat and let it live in the garage. |

Its that time of year again.
Step one is to completely clean out your garage of everything that mice could use for bedding.
I guarantee you'll find several nests |

I dont see how its the Pilots fault, but that sucks!
My buddies boat got attacked once, They ate a very involved wire harness! It was a good weekend in repairs... but he bought the New Castles :p |

You might want to try closing the fresh air vent at night.

If the problem happens again, consider asking if a mesh screen can be installed to protect the blower or block the fresh air intake.

Do not really have any good suggestions about protecting the engine, other than mouse proofing the garage door, side door and any side vents in the garage. For any small openings or holes, try stuffing steel wool (non-rusting) into them.
Once that is done, try setting traps. I had a professional take care of a rat problem and they used traps baited with walnuts. Just took a couple of days. Hamsters love peanuts with the shell so I assume mice will as well.
Of course, you are probably an expert at mice by now.
Good luck. |
