'06 LX rear-view mirror issue - Click HERE for Original Thread
litre
Perhaps it's been that I haven't driven a large SUV in several years, but my previous car ('01 Outback) and my Corvette don't have this issue. I find myself constantly having to adjust the rearview mirror. It almost seems as if it's too small. I am unsure if it's just the LX mirror that has this issue, or if the super-duper mirrors have this issue as well (which is more or less why I'm making this post). Does everyone else have this issue? If not, I'd be driven to look at other rear-view mirror options as it just drives me nuts.

Sorry for the vent, but any comments/suggestions would definitely be appreciated!

Are you talking about the inside rear view mirror on the windshield? if so, the mirror is the same on the LX as it is on the EX, and since the Pilot is fairly long, you do get a limited view to the rear. Plus, if your seating position changes (slouch a bit in the seat, for example) you need to tweak it. Even the optional mirror with the compass and auto-dimming feature is the same size. You may want to try one of the larger mirrors the clips over the top of the standard size - those can sometimes give you a broader field of view....

Thanks, Andy. It's probably me just getting used to it. As you mentioned, I really notice it when I slouch or whatever. It does get a bit annoying, but I'm sure I can learn to live with it. I'm sure it's just the nature of the beast when dealing with a longer rig.

Thanks again!

I have the Broadway mirror & I have good field of view on the rear even when I slough a bit.

me too. just get a bigger mirror if you don't have compass on the mirror.

I don't recall ever not having this problem. It just takes me a while to position the mirror just right so it covers what I need it to cover, whether it's that first "tall in the saddle" drive in the morning, or that "slouching" drive in the evening. :p

Does the LX mirror have the built in compass? I thought these mirrors were slightly larger than the mirrors in the EX-L nav?
