Door speakers: replacement advice - Click HERE for Original Thread

1) How important is it to replace the door speakers with speakers that have a high efficiency rating? Recommendations?

2) How hard is it to access the door speakers? On line link to the procedure?

Thanks

I just bought two new pair of Infinity 6012I speakers to go in front and back of our new '06 Pilot. Got both pair for ~$100. They fit perfectly. Also get the Metra 72-7800 connectors to plug your speakers directly into the factory connector. I looked up the lowest price using www.pricegrabber.com and got www.cardomin.com to price match.

I used the instructions in the thread below for intall guidelines.

Outstanding link. Is that for the back doors only? Would it apply to the front doors as well? What about the tweeters in the dash, any thought on those?

I left the tweeter in the dash connected and turned down the trebble a couple of notches.

Page 6 of the link above has some pictures on how to remove the front door panel.

I started with the rears because they were a little easier. The fronts are not that bad, but you need to remove a screw under the window switches so you had to pry off the window switch panel on the front.
