2006 EX-L Head Unit in 2003 EX-L?

I have purchased a brand new Honda radio that is the same one that comes in the 2006 Pilot EX-L with XM controls. I would like to use it to replace my original head unit in my 2003 Pilot EX-L. Is this possible without much problem?
Radio Model # 39100S9V-A700, which I think is made by Panasonic
