Hi folks,
Yesterday night I finally got a chance to play around with the Radio, Navi, Voice Command, and Temperature Controls on my brand new Pilot and everything worked fine. I was very excited to show off these 'cool' features to my carpool partners the next day as this was going to be my maiden trip to work in my new ride.
This morning I start the car up, hit 'OK' on the Nav screen, turn the radio on, and noticed that there was no sound coming out of the speakers even though the volume was up. I verified the audio/voice settings for the radio and Nav were set correctly but still no sound from either system. The strange thing - when I initiated the voice commands for the radio, Nav, and temperature settings, they all responded accordingly but I received no voice "confirmation" from the car.
It was almost as if all the speakers somehow got muted or disconnected.
Picked up my carpool and instead of telling them what was happening, I decided to avoid the embarrasment and told them I hadn't had time to figure out how the radio or Nav system worked (yeah right).
Anyway, 15 minutes into the commute we all hear a loud 'POP' from the speakers and everything was back to normal. The sound returned to the radio, nav, and voice command system.
What the heck happened????
Has anyone out there experienced this? Software glitch? Bad speaker connection?
I'm stumped.
I won't call the dealer yet but if it happens again I will.
