I'm starting this new tread so it would be easier for someone to do a search in the future and come across this tread to help them with replacing or new installation any of the components below: -
1) Headunit
2) Amplifier
3) Speakers
4) Tweeters
5) Subwoofer
Importantly, this would help me with installing my new Amp, speakers & Subwoofer on my Pilot.
I know some of you in this forum had installed one or some or all of the above components before, either by paid experience installer or themselves. If you would be kind enough to share some of the tips, do or don’t during installation would be greatly helps. These would help some of us in the future when doing any of the above.
Also, if you would like to add link to your previous post on the installation you done before on any of the above components, please do so to link it here.
Some of the things I need to know are running 4 Gauge power wire from the Battery to the Amp (assuming you have the amp at the headrest storage area). Do you run power wire through the firewall at the driver side or passenger side? Which is easier to access and work on?
How would you run new tweeter wire though the stock location? I manage to find a way on the left side using 2’ fish tool/hook, but I can’t find a way on the Driver side. Any tips?
Does anyone ever run new speaker wires to their doors? Any tips? |
