My wife was sitting in our Pilot the other day playing the radio when it all of a sudden it just went out. The front and rear cigarette lighters both went out too (we dont smoke, but she needs the lighter to recharge her cell phone). Anyways, I checked the fuse box, and all the fuses are good. Do you know what else I can check? Its real important to get the radio fixed since "Veggie Tales" seems to be about the only thing that calms our children down. The radio appears to be a stock Honda radio/CD player. The CD will eject a CD, but thats it, no lights, no radio, nothing.
Need help troubleshooting.

Sounds like a grounding problem. There is a "cluster" of ground wires that control those circuits found at the passanger side near the glove box. The bolt holding these may be loose. This had to do with the cigarette lighter and power outlets.
The radio is on the driver's side. You should see a ground wires near the fuse box just above the parking brake. Check to make sure that bolt in on securely too.
Good luck.
I remember member RipRock had a similar problem and it was these ground wires. |

It turned out to be a bad 15amp fuse. I didnt realize until after reader your post Sunday Rider, that there was another fuse box located on the inside passenger side. You saved me about a $100.
Thanks for taking your time, and finding your old post. Very much appreciated.
