not sure if its just the CD player but when i've got music playing fairly loud to the point of the last few bars i notice a problem. The music becomes crackly and or skips. when i lower the volume this alleviates the problem but i know that shouldn't be happening so what should i do?
i've tried changing the bass and the treble but still skips. i don't normally listen to my music this loud since the first couple of bars seem to make the most difference in level of sound but one of my friends did it and i noticed it. i changed Cd's and moved everything around so its got to be something out of my control. |

| the speakers usually do start being distorted when you approach the maximum volume the deck can handle |

I bought my Pilot last June and during the summer, I noticed once or twice that when the temperature was over 84 and it was humid, the CD player would cut in and out. I first thought it was my PIE Interface for my iPod as it was my iPod skipping but when I turned off the iPod and went to CD music, it continued. I changed from CD's I recorded to factory done ones and the problem still persisted. I rolled up the windows so I could hear better in an effort to isolate the problem if possible and naturally in the heat, I cut the a/c on. The problem went away.
Today was that it has been hot and humid but my son was in the Pilot and I had the a/c on.
Don't know if that helps any but if it is hot and humid, you might want to roll up the windows, close the sunroof if you have it, and turn on the a/c and see if things improve after a few minutes. |
