| The VTM-4 light in my 2003 Pilot keeps coming on and then going off for no apparant reason. (the dash-not the button) I've done some research and wonder if this could be because the fluid needs changed? Any advice, I hate the thought of paying 90.00 fee to have it looked at just for them to change the fluid or reset the light. |

I would take it in to the dealer to have it checked. The manual specifically states that continuing to drive with the VTM-4 indicator blinking may cause serious damage to the system. $90 is a small price to pay if it prevents a major problem in your 4WD system which will cost you a lot more money to fix.

If you can retrieve the error code for free, which one member did from Auto-part or similar, in USA, I am in Canada.
He got the exact error code that stated on the EGR valve letter, but I do not know how he ends up.
Myself had paid $98 on the 1st trip, as they got error code of cyclinder misfire, and would not honor the EGR valve warranty, but just reseted the VTm-4 light and malfunction light (engine light).
But one week later, both lights stayed on again, then they agreed to replace the EGR valve under warranty, and refunded my $98.
Hope that helps. |
