I just traded in my 05 Accord EX-L Navi for an 06 Pilot EX-L Navi. In the 11 months I had the Accord there was no solution to just add a direct connect for the Ipod without losing something. It appears nothing has changed with the Pilot.
I really can't remember the last time I listened to a CD, so I'm not concerned about losing the CD changer. Does anyone know the best way to add an Ipod to the factory system. Of course the ideal solution would be to get song/artist info on the display, or god forbid, be able to control the ipod from the stock controls, but even that might be asking for too much. I think at this point I'd just be happy not having to use an FM mod.
P.S. I've had the BLITZSAFE_HON_MLINK1_V2X on order for over 2 months from Enfig.. still hasn't shipped yet, and from all the complaints over on the blitzsafe board, the damn thing doesn't work right anyway.
Thanks |

| I actually did that, but everyone wants to keep their CD-C. I'm trying to see if there's an option to disable the CDC to get more functionality. |

yea sorry, didnt mean to come off like the smart guy, its just there are several solutions you can use. I dont have mine set up this way, as I have RES and have it hard wired into the Audio inputs I wanted to keep my cd changer. Ill defer to the pro's here on the board that have actually set this up and have it working. |

Just unplug the CD changer.....from what other members are saying the USASpec adapter uses the XM/AUX port so you can keep the CD changer if you want....otherwise just unplug it. If you want to be able to see iPod song and artist information on the NAV screen, you'll need a NAV-TV interface (www.soundgate.com) and something like Alpine's Vehiclehub. Here are some links to get you started:
mikeyjf's install
Soundgate NAV Video Interface
Alpine's Vehiclehub |

I have an Neo Ion that I got from this company for my 2003 Pilot EX. It does NOT have the RES or NAVI. I am very happy with it. The steering wheel controls work fine. It's a little squirrely on power on of the car sometimes. Have not been able to repeat the problem consistently. Problem simply requires a press on the play. I would recommend it. Stereo sounds fine.
Here is a link to your Pilot model.
