My Spring and Summer of 06 (So far) - Click HERE for Original Thread
Sportymonk
Its been a busy but good spring and summer. Just wanted to share with my extended family here at HP.Org.

My daughter graduated from college at North Carolina State University with a BS in Computer Science. (But she is on a fast track program where the courses she took her senior year apply also to her Master's degree. One more year to go. Then my retirement home payments are secure. :p )

And my son graduated from high school and will start NCSU this fall majoring in Bio-Medical engineering.

Nice! thanks for sharing those Sporty, now THAT is a family to be proud of, I have one son going into High School and one going into 4th.. its a lot of work to keep them on track but you and the Mrs sure seemed to have figure that out,

Congrats!

Wow, nice going! Hopefully that's what I have to look forward to in another 18 years or so when my little one grows up.

Then my wife (see above) pulled out her "honey-do" list and we hand seeded and composted the front yard since it didn't take too well last year. So I made my FIRST TOW with the Pilot. Went and rented an aerator and trailer. They said the aerator would fit inside but I didn't want to scratch up the Pilot. Also needed the trailer to go get compost.

Then two loads of compost.

THEN I went to the 12x16 shed outside and my daughter an I started cleaning it out by getting her old Barb ie stuff and other toys out. To minimize carrying with my bad back, we used the Pilot to carry stuff. Penned up the beagles and loaded the Pilot up.

Fully loaded.

Look what I found, my old Gilbert Erector Set!!

Then after all that hard work, the local grocery store (Harris Teeter) put backback ribs on sale half price. Need I say more? Had to go cook dinner for the family.

Now for the ribs

Now off to the pet section for my dogs. Been meaning to update their photos.

Don't blink or they will be grown up! Seems like yesterday Hayley was 3 and chasing some ducks as they ran to a pond. I managed to grab her about two feet from the edge of the water as she was about to follow them in. Seems like last week Byron was learning to play T-Ball. With Wife working on her PhD at Duke the house will sure seem empty. Oh where am I going to school? The school of hard knocks or course. :p

Samuel Adams Summer Ale. One of their seasonal beers. Great beer.

BTW - Werhe have you been, haven't seen you on the board much. Good to see you.
