| First major ding, ouch!

| I got my first major ding over the the 4th of July weekend. I hit a full sheet of plywood on the 60 freeway and busted part of my bumper and cracked the left fog light. Looks like it will cost about $600 or so to replace front bumper, bumper garnish, and left fog light. |

| The damage was actually alot less than I had feared. The foglight actually still works! I think the damage would have been a lot worse had I not been in an SUV. As far as the fog light, does anyone know if the Pilot LX foglight kit will work as a replacement for the EXL version. Seems I can purchase the LX kit for about $273 or I can purchase an individual fog light for about $173. |

| a couple months ago i took a rock to my fog light busted the glass honda wanted $273 to replace it you can get only the whole light asm. I took and removed the glass and bought a small piece of plexiglass that was thin enough to bend used clear silicone to seal the plexiglass then drilled 3 holes into the ends and secured with small metal screw. 2 months later still no leaks. |

Interesting. I wondered if you'd just talked to a dealer who was soaking you, but at Majestic Honda the lights are sold only as complete left or right side assemblies, at $173+ a pop.:( |

You can also purchase the LX fog light kit which comes with both the left and right fog light for $279 at HandA. If it is the same, then maybe I can sell the right foglight to someone who needs it. So it would only cost $140 or so. |

Ouch, Sorry about your Pilot,
I just hit a bambi about a month ago on the highway doing about 65 mph,
$4,000.00+ damage, went to CARSTAR = MISTAKE.
CARSTAR SUCKS, use a local shop with body shop pros.
CARSTAR, the right REPAIR won't happen THERE!!!!!!
