Hi all,
Been lurking for a month... finally decided to join the group!
I am a potential 2006 Pilot buyer (been driving Accords for years) and can't decide on a color. I thought I was set on Billet Silver until I saw an Amazon Green last week at a traffic light. Man that looks elegant! So now I'm torn. Even Sage looks good!
I've ruled out Red (makes the truck look small) and Black (I just don't think it looks good) so I guess that's a start.
I know that ultimately it boils down to personal preference but any recommendations?
Glad to be here :D |

You can't go wrong with Sage Brush Pearl. It's like getting six different colors for the price of one ;) |

Oddly enough, Sage was my number one choice a couple of weeks ago until I started seeing more 2006's on the road in different colors.
But now, I can't even come up with a Top 3 because Sage, Silver and Green are all number 1. :3: |

Although I like silver, there are far too many silver cars on the road these days. It's been the most popular color amongst all of the car manufacturers for several years now, so it's kind of hit saturation for me. My last car, an '02 Accord was silver and the thing that really bothered me with it was that no matter how often you waxed it, it never looked really shiney because it was too light to be reflective.
The Amazon green is nice - but had I known how different Sage Brush Pearl looks depending on the lighting, I would have went with that color. I'm big on the chameleon colors and really like the variation in SBP. Personally, when I was shoppng, I was torn between black and red. I went with the red since I thought it would be lower maintenance. I'm happy with it, esepcially when it's waxed and clean. |

We own 2 pilots. Mine ('06 LX) is Steel Blue - and it's OK - nothing to write home about in either direction. I wanted Sage but there weren't any in the area when I was looking back in December. My wife's ('04 EX) is Sandstone, and I'll tell you that this color is great - in that it looks real great when clean, and acceptable when dirty - you don't need to wash it as much as the other colors. Not sure if this is important, but I think I'd get another sandstone if I had to choose.

| My favorite color was and is sage brush pearl, but we bought it right when we had our baby so I went with silver for ease of maintenance. After close to a year I'm glad I did. Very easy to deal with, especially compared to our black civic. :) |

It is my understanding that Amazon Green has been discontinued - that may make it difficult to find that color on a dealer's lot.... I am hoping to purchase EXL 4WD in Sagebrush in the next two weeks, can't wait!

When I bought my 2006, we knew we did not want the saddle interior. My wife and I both do not like it. Since Honda is usually 1-1 for exterior-interior colors, maybe it will help if you look at the interiors and see if there are any you like/dislike.
We ended up getting the Sage Brush Pearl. |

I went against the grain and got a red one. I love it now. Having owned dark color vehicles or the obligatory silver (though both my motorcycles are red)... it is a nice change.
It's easy to find in a parking lot, fewer of them on the road (in fact I haven't seen a red one yet) and it really does look nice.
... and you might be able to get a better deal on a red one since they don't sell as fast. |

Andys comments are right on the money. Less time washing it and still looks super after a coat of Liquid Glass.:4: |

Amazon is on the way off the color chart and you may not find one.
How does the Beige color look to you? My eyes could stand its sickly caramelly multi tint look
If they produced a dark navy blue again, my wife might by one |

| We recently bought the amazon green, the interior colors were important to us also. Definitely see less of them on the road. |

| All three colors you mentioned are great - we considered those exact three but in the end, we went with Billet Silver primarily due to ease of maintenance - looks acceptable when dirty, and with a few coats of Zaino, the shine is great as well, albeit not as noticeable on a black. The darker colors show more blemishes such as swirl marks, etc. and require more meticulous maintenance to avoid them. But I don't think you can go wrong with either of the three you picked - good luck and keep us posted! |

It's funny how people keep saying that Silver is an extremely popular color yet oddly enough I've seen more Sage Pilots on the road on a 5:1 ratio to silver.
Btw, will go for green if able. Silver is second choice. Third choice is, yes... Sage. :D |
