U of I gives real cheap insurance to the students, only they have to go to the U of I hospotals.... any thing like that available? |

Blue Cross has some pretty decent standalone ones -
I opted for the TONIK plans when there was a break in coverage between the tail end of my wife's maternity leave and her returning back to work.
Depending on coverage, they can be very affordable. |

| She is in University of Maryland, I am informed by a few students that they are now happy with the universitie's recommended Insurance.I will call Blue Cross tomorrow.I am angry at myself for not doing home work in regards to this so called Temporary Health Insurance |

Even a (federal) government employee's health insurance will only cover a college student until 22 or 23, I forget which. |
