I got my first scratch on pilot within 27 days.
I was doing reverse in my driveway and It was scratched by side mirrors of my other car. The scratch was near gas cap about 6" with small dent.
I think I am going to get fixed eventhough it is not noticeable.
How about you guys? Is your pilot scratch free? |

Heck no. Carrying in a garbage can thru the garage and brushed the Pilot (4 days old) and it left some nice scratches. They buff out a bit, but are still there.
On my '05 Accord (my son drives this mostly) it's been bumped in the left rear bumper area TWICE in the past 2 months. I had made an appt to have the rear bumper repaired/repainted, but then my wife reminded me he's still driving it into the upcoming school year, and maybe leaving these "scars" would be a good idea, since it's likely more could occur. I figure once he heads off to college and we're down to 2 cars again (after the wife's pilot goes off of lease and she takes mine) I'll get it fixed....
I'm not anal any more....

Maybe have the dent fixed at a paintless dent removal place and just buff out the scratch as much as you can if it is not that noticeable and it bothers you. That would be good enough for me - I would stay away from a repaint because that may be even more noticeable than your not so noticeable scratch.
Our Pilot travels 80 miles a day in the Northeast - the front end has quite a few chips from the road sanding/salting. |

I will upload picture tonight so you guys can help me. It does not bother me but it is brand new car and only 27 days old. My another car is almost 12 old car and it does not bother me. But for pilot I am still thinking to fix or not.
Thanks for input. |

| I backed up on my lawn tractor last year when my Pilot was only a couple of months old and bumped the rear bumper. :3: Touched it up and nobody notices but me. Will get it fixed later. |

pankaj2000,
Daaang - that totally sucks!
If it were my car I'd try and get it fixed by one of those paintless dent removal outfits - but thats just me. Even though its not really that noticeable, the damage is right at the gas cap and you will see it everytime you fill up at the gas station :3:

Chasing dings / scratches / small dents on a car will frustrate you forever. I'd say save your money, chalk it up as lesson learned.
It won't be the last one. |
