just got a new set of rims...
http://www.fortewheel.com/pdut_detail.asp?ID=82
FORTE MIAMI F15 in black/mirror, 20X8.5, 5/114.3 - 5/120.65, offset +35, center bore 73.1, load rating 2,100
i know that tire size 255/45/20 will be the closest to factory size, but will my speedometer be that far off if i get size 275/45/20 ? will my tires rub if i go with 275's?
will my TPMS be thrown off? or VSA?
does anyone else have 275's on 20 inch rims that can vouch? |

Although I am not a fan of those wheels, why take a chance on a tire size that much larger in diameter than stock. I think you are safe with anything within 3% of the oem size. Then again, its your choice and your life
Good luck |

the only reason why i was considering the 275's was because they were cheaper than the 255's.
so i should just go with the 255's to be safe? i calculated the size vs. oem:
oem: 28.95
255/45/20: 29.04
275/45/20: 29.74 |

If it was me, I'd go with the 255's as they are closer in size to the OEM's.
Good luck with your choice. |

Its the width thats my concern. going from 235 to 275 is 40mm, or 1 and 6/10s wider overall or 8/10s wider on the inside edge that could cause it to contact the steering, fender inner and outer etc.
No account taken for different offset has been made in this warning.
Do the 255 would be my recommendation |

1. Go with the 255's. The wider the tire the more you take a chance on increasing the possibility of hydroplaning in the wet and have decreased traction in snow and ice. The 255 will closely mirror the tilt of the OEM tires in turns.
2. TPMS won't be thrown off but you will have to install the sensors on the new wheels. There are some threads here about if the sensor doesn't install properly.
3. VSA. Roll the dice. The width is almost the same and the outside diameter is almost the same so it shouldn't make a difference but there are so many variables to consider that I would be reluctant to say it won't affect it. |

| This brings up a question... what are the largest size tires one can safely fit on a Pilot? |
