Make your own Powre Brake Bleeder - Click HERE for Original Thread

Hi

I came across this on a Toyota forum as I also own a Tacoma. If you have an air compressor, you can make your own bleeder for under $20.

You will need to measure for the Pilot as I am guessing that the Tacoma's reservior is smaller.

I'm a little skeptical of that Harbor Freight device. I have had no luck with vacuum operated power brake bleeders.

I recommend the Motive power bleeder. Search this forum- I posted previously on how awesome I think this device is.

It should run around $50.00. Well worth it.

As for the homemade device, I cannot stress enough how important it is to set the regulator to 10-15psi, no higher. I generally don't exceed 20psi with my Motive power bleeder, but higher risks blowing out the seals in the brake hydraulics, which would be very uncool.
