| Pilot came with dealer logo sticker on tailgate. Sticks out like a sore thumb (bright white on Nighthawk Black Pearl). Any suggestions on best way to remove it without damaging the paint and not leaving any sticker residue behind? |

| Get the blow dryer out and heat it up real good, but don't leave the dryer in one place or it'll mess up the paint.... maybe. Anyhoo, heat it up and peel that sucker off. Any residue left you can probably use some bug/tar remover to get it off. Come to think of it, a good wax or polish may do a better job. |

If it's stuck on like a Honda badge, get some 12 pound test fishing line and "floss" it off, using the fishing line to saw through the adhesive. Then remove the adhesive residue with WD-40. Then wash and wax the area.
If it's a vinyl sticker stuck on, or several individual letters, I'd probably go the hair dryer route, then gently peel an edge up with a fingernail, and pull it off. Then clean the remaining adhesive with WD-40 etc. |

| It would have to be one UGLY dealer sticker for me to remove it. Why would they put such an ugly sticker on a nice car? It's beyond me. My friendly tip would be to just leave it alone. I only say that because I'm a klutz. It's all up to you. Unfortunately, I have no suggestions other than leaving the sticker alone just in case taking it off is more of a hassle than anything else! When i purchased my pilot I requested no 'dealer sticker' on the vehicle, i told them they could put on a license plate frame if they wished.
My last vehicle was a jeep cherokee, with a dealer sticker that was on for at least 2 years (picked it up used). I peeled it off and used goo goen to get the residue off, washed and waxed the area and it looks like it was never there.

| Thanks to all for the suggestions. Sticker was one of those decals where each letter and logo was it's own sticker (had Honda logo on one side, Toyota on the other with company name and city in between - lots of little letters to take off!). Didn't use anything to heat them up - just started peeling by catching an edge with my fingernail. Came off pretty easily with only a small amount of residue. WD-40 on rag took residue off. Just have to get the WD-40 off now - have that little rainbow effect where I wiped with it. |

| I was also very clear when I purchased my new 2006 EX-L w/ NAVI that I DID NOT WANT TO SEE ANY DEALER STICKER OR EMBLEM on the car. I ended up with two dealer license plate frames instead... Here I would also recommend 'prevention' so that you don't have to deal with this problem. |

| I have never let the dealers advertise on my vehicles. The dealer's stickers and license plate frames tell the bad guys your either not from the neighborhood or out of town. I think it is good idea to take them off. |

| Good point about the license plate frames. Not only that but they are also usually fairly unattractive and made out of cheap plastic. I am going to be looking for new frames now, any suggestions for something that would match a silver EX-L? |
