The electronic exciter circuitry in the Generac Genset provides very clean power for the low inertial weight of the armature. Some of the [advertised] inverter type gensets actually out put a "square wave" that is not useful in some half wave rectified [power supply] electronic devices.
My house is surviving very well during the couple of outages [since the new genset] and very few houses have the amount of electronics that mine does.
On top of my Wireless DSL and wireless router, I have a full Carrier VVT/CCN DDC zoning /automation system [6 zone] tied to a 2 speed Carrier Heat pump w/ECM air handler, with a desuperheater that provides all of my potable hot water. I also have a 5 camera perimeter video surveillance system with a full time DVR that is piped into my video system along with a video door answering system. All of these and a multi room wireless telephone, along with the usual video/stereo gear.
By the way, I make my living as the Service Manager for a Mechancal Engineering / Automation / Commercial / Industrial HVAC Contractor, so I understand the damage potential of over / under voltage or square wave.
