| I just picked up an 06 LX for 23,097 out the door, (you gotta love it!). I was looking at the map light setup and it looks almost the same as the wifes 02 accords setup but hers has homelink, and the spot with the 3 homelink buttons is almost the same size as the blank plate in my setup. So my question is.... has anyone pulled the home link setup out of another honda to fit in the pilot? Also, does the homlink piece come out of the maplight/sunglass holder or do you need the complete unit? |

Good question. If the Homelink is self contained (all of the electronics are in the module with the buttons), then you may only need to get power from somewhere to make one work.
The Homelink is just a universal remote, so it won't matter which car you get one from. But your best bet for proper fit and finish would be to order one for the Pilot.
Someone with the service manual can probably find the part number so you can research prices. |

| I tried to fing the parts needed at the Majestic Honda site, and couldn't. I'm sure Tim at Hondacuraworld could tell you definitively what's needed parts-wise. Then there's the question of whether or not the wiring harness in the LX is there to accept it, or you have to find a way to get power to it.:8: |

I would like to add this to my wife's '06 as well so please keep us posted if you find out anything on part #'s, etc.

I have a grey Homelink module I'm selling here.
I'm 99% certain that it'll work.
I added the Homelink to my 04 Accord, it popped right in, and worked fine.
I believe the modules are the same on all Honda's. |

I found the Homelink for the '06 at Majestic Honda here
When selecting a vehicle, select an EXL, then look at "Interior light", and it's listed as item #13.
The wiring will be there, as long as your LX has an amber light that comes on with the headlights.
I also noticed that the module is cheaper for the Pilot than it is for the Accord, and it has to be the same thing....interesting.
