Hello everyone!
I live in LA and moving to Seattle with a new job. Not familiar with Honda dealers around Seattle/Bellevue/Redmond/Kirkland area. I am looking for a 2006 or 2007 Pilot EX-L 4WD with NAVI. What would be a good deal for the model I'm looking for and who are the better dealers in terms of price and buying experience ?
Am I correct by saying that for '06 I should not be paying over $28K (+tax and DMV only) ?

Don't know about specific pricing, but I can report an excellent experience I had with the Internet Sales guy at Downtown Seattle. This was a few years back (so I don't know if the guy I worked with is still there), but I used carsdirect.com to get pricing info then bought from them since they had the black Civic EX I wanted at the time. Also had good no-hassle experiences with their service dept.
Didn't have a great time at Tukwila, though: they were very high pressure and gave me a laughable trade-in quote. Dealing with Downtown's Internet Sales guy was key... wish I could remember his name. Good luck! |

I emailed every Honda dealer in Western WA. The best price I got by far was at Stirling Honda (rep-Tony Dunham) down in Longview, WA near Portland (lower sales tax there too). Once I had a great price, I emailed everyone else closer to me to see if I had any bites. It was such a low quote that 20+ dealers basically said there was "no way someone would sell it at that price".
I guess they were wrong :-) West Hills Honda (Bremerton - Amelia Reisman) not only matched my offer in hand, they beat it by $300 and saved me a 5hr round trip to pick it up too. They treated us great, even with the skimpy profit margin.
5/30/06 We ended up with an 06 Amazon Green EX-L 4WD for $27,700 + destination, tax, title, license. Total out the door price: $31,000.00 flat.
I bet if you could find one that you really wanted, you could do far better than what I paid in May 06!

I recently purchased from South Tacoma Honda ( I worked with Chuck )
I have had good luck with these three as well, and you will save on taxes:
Bob Halls - Yakima (Matched a price from sothern california for me.)
Sims - Burlington
Capitol City - Olympia
Stear clear of Kirkland ... They have a good inventory but they arn't willing to work on the price like the ones I listed above. They also refused to trade for color when I found the price I wanted at South Tacoma. Ironically, the Red 2WD I wanted to trade for is still sitting on their lot over a month later. |

E-mail or call up to Klein Honda. Ask for Steve Bagwell, he is the internet sales manager. I got a great deal on one of the last Steel Blue EX-L RES in a color other than silver or black. I bought at $28600. Had a hard time finding what I wanted color wise, walked on a deal at Kirkland Honda. We were $100 apart on a Amazon Green EX-L RES. Really wanted that color too. I sucked it up and called back later that night, offered the rest of the C-note and awaited his call. Called me back the next morning and said that we were now $1000 apart. I told him to, well you know. I offered to give the sales manager a hug to warm his cold heart!
