Our journey started out at Don Wessel Honda in Springfield, MO.

We had been looking at Pilots and decided to go test drive one. The first salesman was nicer than most we have seen and was offering us an 06 Silver EX-L for $4,000 off MSRP.

I talked him up to $4,700 off MSRP which was still $29,250. He made a point to show they were throwing in wheel locks etc for free. WOW

I purposly came without the check book or trade in. He stated that was the lowest he would go. I was still a little leary as I had read of other getting better deals on here and I knew this had been sitting on the lot awhile which was apparent by the rust on inside the wheels and the wasp next in the door of the vehicle

So I posted on here and others said to at least call around and the nearest dealership was an hour away. I called and the guy on the phone said they had 1 Silver 06 EX-L with Nav left and they would take 29,267 for it. Told him about the deals I was seeing on here and he with down to 28,800 for it and I was sold. I decided to call the other dealer just to see though. The 1st salesman said I was told the bottom price and that was it. I said ok looks like I better get going because I have an hour drive ahead of me.

Needless to say we went with Roper Honda in Joplin, MO and our expierence was great. They had most of the paperwork prepared and got us in and out in 30 minutes.

They didn't even push the warranties etc as hard as I've seen some do.

If you live in the SW MO area Roper is the way to go. I would go there again for sure!

Did you have a trade in? If you did, I wonder just how much they held back on it since they gave you such a good price on your Pilot?

I traded in a 2003 Chevy Cavalier Sedan Basic model with no power anything and cloth interior.

I just looked it up on KBB and it states.

$4,120 For Good

He gave us $4,000 for it.

I was expected a fight on that one. I checked and clean wholesale was only $6,000. So I told myself if he offered 4k or > then I would take it to not hassle with selling it.
