Question... Often I logon the board, check for PMs and look at a thread or two, then, uh, er... go back to work. :2:
But the next time I check, probably hours later, it assumes
that I READ all the posts that were new before.
The 'new' marks are gone. Is there a way to tell it 'assume I didn't read any of these' or even anything less drastic?
I know I'm missing a lot of things, and when I have the time I'd like to read them.
I read a post a while back about changing the number in the URL search for new posts, and tried it, but it didn't work.
Thanks! |

Another problem...
Twice today I went to "View New Posts" off the Home page. Said there were 4 one time and 22 the next time it happened. It goes through it's search and I get the No New Posts msg.
Going to 'forums' and "view New Posts" there has the same result.
So in forums I just 'look' for the new posts and read a couple. Then try the View New Posts again and it finds only a couple of posts in the last few minutes. Like it wiped out all the new post flags before I read 'em.
Came here and saw Havasu's problem (another new post I didn't get) and thought they might be related.
Happened the first time yesterday. Macbethderham has told me she's also had the View New Posts problem.
Thanks! :25: |

First of all, over the weekend, I've upgraded the software on the site. Presumably, the upgrade fixes the issues people where having with cookies/sessions (searching for new posts, etc).
As far as your problem, havasu, I'll see if I can install a hack that would give you "today's new posts".
Later,
admin. |
