smudges in 2006 EX-L dashboard - Click HERE for Original Thread

Howdy, wondering if anyone has any experience getting smudges out of the dashboard. I accidentally hit the dash with the edge of a pipe and put 2 smudges in it. They aren't too bad but they reflect light a lot which makes them stand out. I was wondering if anyone knows any tricks to make them stand out less.

Thanks,
Randy

Try using some Simple Green on a soft cloth or microfiber towel and gently rubbing the smudges. Are you sure they're smudges and not scratches?

Yeah, they are more of a scratch then a smudge, the texture is definately scratched...i used the word smudge cuz they are really wide scratches.

If they are in fact scratches then I see no other possible way to remedy that other than taking fine grit sandpaper and sanding the scratches smooth. I hope others can offer you some other advice.

See if there's a Dr. Vinyl franchise in your area and get them, or the contractor a reputable dealer uses, to fix it.

Another hp.org member had a scratch on the dash repaired at a Dr. Vinyl with excellent results. Read about that at http://www.hondapilot.org/forums/sh...highlight=vinyl
