After a recent trip to Oregon and back, out Pilot was covered in dried bugs. After numerous attempts to clean the windshield with a rag and soapy water, I used the green side of a kitchen sponge. It did great with the bugs, but also scrateched the windshield. When the sun hits it just right, you can see all of the swirl marks from scrubbing off the dirt.
Two Questions:
1. What is the best way to clean dried bugs? I've used the sponge before on my 90 Integra with no issues, but the Pilot windshield must be different.
2. Any suggestions on eliminating/minimizing the scratches??

1. Pick up a can of Stoner Invisible Glass. It does excellent job cleaning glass. Available at most store or if you have samsclub membership, you can pick up 4 cans for $11...
2. "IF" the scratches are not too deep, try using some rubbing compound, then follow by buffing with toothpaste. It should get rid of most of the scratches. Afterward, use Stoner to clean all the residue.

After the first pass with a rag and soapy water, try diluted Simple Green on a papertowel and lay it over the bugs for a few minutes. |

| Use a single edged razor blade with soapy water. Works well to get off tough spots on the glass and doesn't scratch. Just be sure to use a new blade. |
