| I have about 25 video 8 tapes and want to copy them to DVD. My old Sony Handycam does not work now. What kind of new camcorder I can buy now to transfer the tapes? Will this SONY DCRTRV280 work? It costs about $270 to buy it brand new online. Should I send them to a video store to copy the tapes? Any suggestions? I live in South Cal. |

The DCRTRV280 will work, but it is very old technology and you can go get a MiniDV(digital) camcorder for not much more than $270. I actually do digital transfers for a living, at a fraction of the cost of most professional services. Will PM with details if interested. |
