| I went by the honda dealer today to get some work done , being that I was still on warranty. Anyway I remember reading a post here about how to clean the aluminum grill in fron and other parts of the car. CRV refuge mentioned this Honda spray/cleaner wax, I looked for it in the parts dept. and bought 2 bottles of it. Used it today and this stuff is awesome. You can use it virtually anywhere on the Pilot. Where I'm at it only costs $ 5.95 a bottle. Jus thought you guys might want to try it out. |

| If it's the stuff I'm thinking of, it's incredible, but difficult to get. If it has a part number 08C25-P011M, cherish it. The EPA has banned it in half the US, and I can't get it anymore :( |

Would this Honda spray/cleaner wax also be used on the 2003-2005 Honda Pilot plastic trim, including the grille?
I recently bought a used 2005 Pilot, and after a few weeks I noticed some nasty, greasy-looking drip marks on the grille. It looks like whatever the dealership used to shine up the sheetmetal "melted" and dripped onto my grille. I've tried several mild cleaners, but the drip marks are still there. I'm wondering if this miracle spray/cleaner wax might be what I need.

| Try some SimpleGreen. Spray some on a towel and wipe away the stuff and see if that works. |

I wonder if it bad for humans or bad for the environment? I saw a post in another forumn that seemed to indicate it was a "sniffing" problem. They also listed the following states in the banquote:

Picked up some of the Honda Pro Cleaner a couple weeks ago. For your info that stuff must be made by Mothers. Works the same and most important smells the same. We have had 3 ice and snow storms in the last 3 weeks. Sure was nice to be able to clean the Pilot up today and give it a good wax job. Damn I hate this weather. Boomer has had it worse up in Tulsa and I'm sure you folks up in the northern states are worse off than we are. Just think spring is ONLY 90 days away!!!!

I have used this stuff for MANY years on all my motorcycles. It's good, but IMHO, not great. For painted metal, things like QD are better. For painted plastic (like on a motorcycle fairing, etc) the Honda Spray is pretty good, but I prefer Plexus as it does not leave the film that the Honda Spray does.
For a good "general purpose" polish, that can be used on virtuall any surface - the Honda Spray is fine. But there are better choices for the painted metal. |
