Pats v Saints

That way I can needle my LA living Brother in law when they lose.

Bears vs Pats...........It's too magic of a year for the Gators and Manning can't win the big ones. (he never beat the Gators)

Only 56-point favorites? Is Mike Ditka still God or just a god? :2:

I'm an NFC guy but the game I really want to see is this weekend: Pats and Colts. Sooner or later Peyton HAS to beat the Pats when it really matters, if he's going to earn any real respect. The Super Bowl I want to see is the Bears and the Colts, and I think it would be too close to call. However, Tom Brady is just a "winner" and I think the Pats will beat all comers.

No, not at all. It wasn't 66 to 10, it was 66 to -10...76 point favorites!! Da Bears.

You could really see the difference between the two NFL leagues over last weekend. The AFC Championship game will be a doozy.

Brady is at his most dangerous when the pats are a few points down.

Pats vs Bears

Pats win

Never bet the farm against the Pats in the post season.

As Brady said when asked which is his favorite Super Bowl ring: "The next one!"

I'm probably in the minority when I wanted the west coast teams (seahawks and chargers) to win. but now that they're out, I'm rooting for the underdogs...saints and colts.

hey I always root for the underdogs when there's no team I really want to win. :D

but hopefully for you bears fans, they play better than last weekend. if they play the same, I don't think they're gonna beat the saints.

Obviously, I'm suddenly an Indy fan. It would also be nice to see the epitome of all Cinderella teams make it.

Marty-ball never got a fair shake here in the D.C. area. I was pulling for the Chargers. Now that they're out, Saints-Colts is okay by me.
Bill Balmer
It's strange the way the playoffs have shaped up. Even though the AFC is clearly the stronger conference, the Saints worry me more than the Pats or the Colts. If the Bears get past the Saints, I think they have a pretty good chance to get a ring. I agree that they'll have to perform better this week than last if they want to move on.

I think if "bad rex" is not around...Bears can beat the Patriots easily..specailly how they played in New England earlier... Colts scare me... Manning can exploit the secondary

I forgot which talk show said it, but basically they said marty is one of the top regular season coaches, and one of the worse postseason coaches. :D

(how do you go 14-2 in the regular season, and lose your first postseason game?!?)
Ferdball
Its not a secret, its a well known fact. I'm not sure that its totally the coaches fault though. I think it boils down to the players.

The Chargers committed about 5 bone-head plays during the game. If we committed one less, then we might have won. Then where does that stat take you?

There was a series during the Pats 11 point run where the Chargers went 3 and out. It was a 5-yard run by LT, then two incomplete passes. Martyball would have dictated run, run, run. I think you could have gained the extra 5 yards needed with the two plays. It runs out the clock faster, its harder to lose the ball, etc. Some say that Martyball should have come back, just a little bit.

so I blame the coach for not calling more runs!! :D

After all of the past years with the Pats stinkin or losing to Da Bears in '86, it's certainly interesting to watch them over the past 5 years. It's certainly hard to bet against Brady and Bellichek given their approach to the game. So I'm hoping for a Patriots win. That being said, I think that the Pats and Colts have played one too many times for Manning to stink up the place this sunday. The saying in New England is that Bellichek gets inside of Manning's head and he just freaks out during the game. Someday (and it might be this weekend), Peyton will ignore Bill and he'll play to his potential, and they'll get that monkey off their backs and make it to the Super Bowl. Will it be this weekend? Maybe. But, for now, New England is watching and rooting for yet another solid performance during the last 5 minutes of the game. :D Around here, the REAL story is the kicking matchup - Adam vs. Stephen. Both have been lights out recently. Let's see who blinks first....

Aww, boo hoo hoo; Somebody call a WAH-HA-HAmbulence. I won't be hearing for the next two weeks, ad nauseum, about the Cinderella story of the New Orleans Saints and the Superdome and Hurricane Katrina and blah, blah, blah. A full season wasn't nearly enough to beat that story to death.

Oh well, I'm sure they'll come up with plenty of inane drivel to make me want to gouge my eyes out during the pre-game show (I mean, if ever there was a chance in h311 I would watch it).
rocky
Pre game the kickers were going toe to toe.....

:D DA(XLI) BEARS!
OB3
Happy to see new England taking charge in Indy.
enzie54
Ok, ok...BEARS 3000 and Colts (-8)..."We are the Bears, shufflin' crew..." DA BEARS!!!!
rocky
Well I blew that prediction big time!!!!

The Bears looked great for a NFC team. Colts did a great job. Not having vinateiri didn't hurt the Pats but did help the Colts get to the Superbowl.

Could be we are heading for one seriously good superbowl if both teams can go at it the same way.
robrecht
Nice come from behind to win for the Colts. Maybe we'll have a good Super Bowl for a change?

BEARS!!!

My radio came on this morning to the ESPN analyst saying that the Colts would be heavily favored to win the Super Bowl against the Bears. Let's see... the Bears just beat the #1 ranked offense in the league 39-14, and the Colts squeaked out a final moments win by 4 points. Hmmm. When the feed went from the ESPN guy back to the local Chicago guy, the first comment was "What do the Bears have to do to get some respect?" I mean really - they've gone 15-3 to this point and played a near-perfect all-around game yesterday against a favored team with the best offense in the league, and beat them by 25 points!

That's okay - I think the role of underdog will help motivate them (which, frankly, is exactly what they need to play well).

On a side note, it was funny watching my kids shake their heads at me this morning when I pulled out the extended remix LP of the Super Bowl Shuffle! :2: :2:

:D went to work with the official NFL Brian Urlacher blue team jersey! BTW my son's name is Brian for #54. He's 4 years old:4:

whoa was i wrong, lolol
Excellent game overall. Should be a good superbowl
sblvro
:) I liked it when DA Coach stuck with the Bears in predicting a win while five of the ESPN pregame show analysts all picked the saints:4: by a wide margin:1:
5Gs
definitely looks like a good superbowl matchup. I wonder if urlacher said anything to bush after the game? :D good thing for the bears defense coming up with turnovers. it didn't look too good early on for them. and it sure didn't look good for the colts early on either! but seeing manning and the offense score 32(!) points in the second half, hard to see anyone stop them. colts by 7 seems like a lot...I'm guessing it's going to be a close game.

'Da Bears!!!

Chorus
We are the Bears Shufflin' Crew
Shufflin' on down, doin' it for you.
We're so bad we know we're good.
Blowin' your mind like we knew we would.
You know we're just struttin' for fun
Struttin' our stuff for everyone.
We're not here to start not trouble.
We're just here to do the Super Bowl Shuffle.

Walter Payton
Well, they call me Sweetness,
And I like to dance.
Runnin' the ball is like makin' romance.
We've had the goal since training camp
To give Chicago a Super Bowl Champ.
And we're not doin' this
Because we're greedy.
The Bears are doin' it to feed the needy.
We didn't come here to look for trouble,
We just came here to do
The Super Bowl Shuffle.

Willie Gault
This is Speedy Willie, and I'm world class.
I like runnin' but i love to get the pass.
I practice all day and dance all night,
I got to get ready for the Sunday fight.
Now I'm as smooth as a chocolate swirl,
I dance a little funky, so watch me girl.
There's not one here that does it like me,
My Super Bowl Shuffle will set you free.

Mike Singletary
I'm Samurai Mike I stop'em cold.
Part of the defense, big and bold,
I've been jammin' for quite a while,
Doin' what's right and settin' the style,
Give me a chance, I'll rock you good,
Nobody messin' in my neighborhood.
I didn't come here lookin' for trouble,
I just came to do The Super Bowl Shuffle

(Repeat Chorus)

Jim McMahon
I'm the punky QB, known as McMahon.
When I hit the turf, I've got no plan.
I just throw my body all over the field.
I can't dance, but I can throw the pill.
I motivate the cats, I like to tease.
I play so cool, I aim to please.
That's why you all got here on the double
To catch me doin' the Super Bowl Shuffle.

Otis Wilson
I'm mama's boy Otis, one of a kind.
The ladies all love me
For my body and my mind.
I'm slick on the floor as I can be
But ain't no sucker gonna get past me.
Some guys are jealous
Of my style and class,
That's why some end up on their -,
I didn't come here lookin' for trouble,
I just get down to The Super Bowl Shuffle.

Steve Fuller
They say Jimbo is our man.
If Jimmy can't do it, I sure can.
This is Steve, and it's no wonder
I run like lightnin', pass like thunder.
So bring on Atlanta, bring on Dallas,
This is for Mike and Papa Bear Halas.
I'm not here to feather his ruffle,
I just came here to do
The Super Bowl Shuffle.

Mike Richardson
I'm L.A. Mike, and I play it cool.
They don't sneak by me 'cause I'm no fool.
I fly on the field and get on down.
Everybody knows I don't mess around.
I can break'em, shake'em,
Any time of day.
I like to steal it and make 'em pay,
So please don't cry to beat my hustle
'Cause I'm just here to do
The Super Bowl Shuffle.

(Repeat Chorus)

Richard Dent
The sackman's comin', I'm your man Dent.
if the quarterback's slow,
He's gonna get bent.
We stop the run, we stop the pass,
I like to dump guys on their -.
We love to play for the world's best fans,
You better start makin'
Your Super Bowl plans.
But don't get ready or go to any trouble
Unless you practice
The Super Bowl Shuffle.

Gary Fencik
It's Gary here, and I'm Mr.Clean.
They call me "hit man,"
Don't know what they mean.
They throw it long and watch me run,
I'm on my man, one-on-one.
Buddy's guys cover it down to the bone,
That's why they call us the 46 zone.
Come on everybody let's scream and yell,
We're goin' to do the Shuffle,
Then ring your bell.

William Perry
You're lookin' at the Fridge,
I'm the rookie.
I may be large, but I'm no dumb cookie.
You've seen me hit, you've seen me run,
When I kick and pass, we'll have more fun.
I can dance, you will see
The others, they all learn from me.
I don't come here lookin' for trouble,
I just came here to do
The Super Bowl Shuffle.
