I just bought a new 07 Pilot EX-L with Navigation - AWD. (Only 400 miles on it so far)
One thing about this car has been bothering me since i bought it.
Whenever i park the car for a while and then start moving it again , as soon as i press the accelerator paddle i feel that the some wires are being pulled by the accelerator (i know that this is a drive by wire throttle system).
This pulling action happens twice in quick successions and i can feel it in my foot on the accelerator paddle and hear it as well.
This happens only the first time i pump the car after parking it for 10-15 mintues and does not happens after that when i move the car from a stop light etc.
Has anyone else noticed a similar behaviour with the new pilots. Is it something that needs to be checked with the dealer..
Any reply with be appreciated.
Thanks. |

You've asked this before but apparently haven't gotten an answer.
I don't have an 07 but, this doesn't sound right............
even if your cruise control is powered up you shouldn't feel it in the pedal.
I'd bring it back.........:4: |

I'm not sure but I think I know what you are describing , the way I would describe it would be two clicking noises that can be felt by your foot on the gas pedal after being parked for a while. I believe it is the VSA or ABS engaging, mine does the same thing and has been discussed briefly in this thread http://www.hondapilot.org/forums/sh...gas+pedal+noise
Does that sound like what you are talking about? |

Thanks for the reply.
Yes that is excatly what is happening. 2 clicks being felt in the gas paddle the first time the car in driven in forward gear after being parked for a while.
Is this something of concern ? or is it normal behaviour.
Will this go after i have few 1000 miles on the car of will it stay forever? |

to my knowledge this is normal, maybe others can chime in and let us know if they are experiencing the same thing. |

Add me to the list. Mine does it too. '07 EX-L 4wd w/ NAV
edit: Seems odd that this would happen with a drive-by-wire throttle system like our Pilot's. It would make more sense if the pedal were connected to a throttle cable. |

| I have an 07 Pilot EX-L 4WD and have not had this problem. I have about 2000 miles on my Pilot. I would have it checked out just to be safe. Plus it will create a history at your dealer should something go wrong after your warranty is up or if it causes something else to happen. |

| I do not own a pilot but can tell you that what you are feeling is *probably* the ABS self test. It is triggered at 4mph and again at 12mph after starting in my Acura and is not only felt as a vibration but can be heard loudly as well. Based on my understanding, all ABS equipped vehicles have this self-test routine but the level of feedback transmitted to the driver varies. |

That makes sense. |

I have the same problem as you mentioned above. I can feel through my foot on accelerator such that something is clicking. In fact, I made an appointment at dealer because of this strange feeling but it seems normal if I read all the threads attached to your note. |

NOT HIJACKING YOUR THREAD!!!! But...
I complained from day one re: my 04' Pilot making a noise at every start up. Sounded/felt like a really quick stutter or rumble coming from the engine area when I started to drive off.
After 3 years, I still hear and feel it, but I'm sure it is the ABS self test. Maybe the same thing as your '07?
Good luck. |

It is the ABS self test as mentioned before. In fact read your owners manual it tells you right in there.
Lets move right along !!! |
