car wash frequency in winter - Click HERE for Original Thread

It snows quite a bit where I live during the winters and the roads are almost always salted during the winter months.

How frequently is it recommended to get a car wash to prevent corrosion from salt build up?

I wash both of the vehicles weekly. Whenever it gets above freezing........just to get the first layer off.

The frequency in which I wash my vehicles depends on the weather. I tpically wash them within a few days after a storm. I run them through a high pressure, brushless wash with an undercarriage spray. If you wash too soon after a snow storm , they just get salty again quickly. If you wait too long, the salt (or salt substitute) won't come off in a brushless car wash. This year has brought little snow so I haven't washed them nearly as frequently as the past few years.
