Greetings, :-D
I have a 2005 Pilot EX with 33,500 miles.
The front motor mount is leaking substantial fluid.
I was told by one mechanic the front motor mount is bad and it should be replaced by honda.
Is this covered under warranty?
If so should I contact honda first and inform them of the issue before heading to the dealer.
I am expecting some runaround. ;-O
Any input or information is appreciated.
Cheers :-D |

| The warranty should be a bumper to bumper warranty so, yes, it should be covered. |

| Warranty doesn't run out until 36k plus whatever the odometer mileage deal was ...37,800 I think or three years. |

I'm unclear why a "motor mount" would be leaknig oil. I'd bet it is an engine oil leak that is running down the motor mount, not the mount itself.
Regardless, it should be covered under warranty.

Honda uses "viscous" motor mounts - meaning filled with fluid - so it's not unusual to see this... Happened to a motor mount on my 95 Saab once...

Great Input... :-D
I figured it out. ;-)
It was oil that I added about a week ago that dripped off the manifold.
Forgot about it, heh.
Thanks again :-D |

Did it actually cause a liquid leak? I had always thought these viscious mounts were filled with something with the consistency of a very heavy grease.
