I am considering purchasing a used Honda Pilot- perhaps a 2004 or 2005 model. I inspected one briefly and have a question about the second row seating. The seatback angle seemed a bit too upright, and I notice the center arm rest is actually not an armrest but only a cup holder.
Is the seatback angle adjustable and I just missed it? Is there any aftermarket item that would thicken the cup hoder thingy to allow it to function as an armrest?
Am I mstaken that the second row seating may be uncomfortable on long trips due to the reasons I have noted? |

| You've identified the only thing that my family does not like about our '05 Pilot...rear seat comfort on long trips. They do sit upright quite a bit, but will tilt back about 3-4 inches more if you pull the lever on the top edge of the seats. That helps. This is the same lever you pull to fold the seats forward to make them flat. I've never seen anything that helps make the arm rest thicker. |

ditto on that. when i have the 2nd row seats reclined as far back as they could go, it seems pretty comfortable, even for long trips. but i wouldn't know since i'm the one driving :D
as for the armrest issue, i fixed that by using a special device called a pillow. :2: |

| Second row legroom is also adjustable. Third row passenger appreciate the extra space |

| A small pillow placed over the "armrest" usually does the trick. But, our kids use it for playing cards also. |
